I've been MIA lately. I think someone hacked into my blog so I've kept my distance. I think I've kicked those idiots to the curb, hopefully, so here I am. I've missed writing!
I have completed my yoga teacher training after 3 awesome and hectic months. It was an overwhelming, exhausting, awesome and awakening experience to say the last. Taking that journey, I feel I have been given a great big fat wake up call as to who I really am and what I should be using my time on this earth to do. I haven't felt more on purpose than when I was in Acting school in NC. I find it interesting that the two things I am most passionate about are also the most terrifying to me. I wonder if part of the reason I was made to do these things is to learn how to stop being so afraid and start believing in myself...start taking more leaps before thinking everything through and then talking myself out of something.
I have been reminded that those leaps that I take, those big risks...regardless of the outcome...push me to grow and become better.
I am trying to do that as we speak. Tomorrow I have my first "audition" for a hot power fusion teaching position at CorePower. I really want to be apart of this community and would love to start my teaching journey with my very own class. I am trying to shut my doubting mind off and just breathe and trust that I know the series and myself. I hear the little voices in my head trying to talk me out of showing up, pressuring me to be perfect and giving me mean reasons as to why I'm not good enough.
Though the voices are still there...at least now I know better....little voices or not, we are going tomorrow and going to do our very best. I am where I am and the only job I have to do is show up and be open. Everything else is out of my hands.
Time to quit beating myself up. It is time to be gentle with myself and trust my process. Everything will happen in its divine order....
Wish me luck!!!
